MEET THE TEAM
FRANK
GAFFER, DOP & Ginger
Lights? Yes!
Camera? Certainly?
Action? No, Frank is far too anxious to do action based activities.
Frank is the head honcho here at CFL (he puts the “F” in “CFL”), and also works as a freelance lighting gaffer and cinematographer and directs and produces for Head Start Productions.
His favourite film is No Country for Old Men, and in his free time he likes to make music, play video games and attempts to play tennis (but sometimes, tennis is too much action).

CIARAN
DOP & Lover of the internet
The man with more lenses than friends.
Ciaran is a London-based cinematographer who has been shooting long-form narrative, commercials and music promos for well over a decade, mainly because he is incredibly old.
Ciaran has a wealth of knowledge from working on larger sets, but loves to push what is possible at any budget. Ciaran’s approach is extremely collaborative, because he’s really keen to make more friends.
His commercial work in particular has won a range of accolades, including a Bronze Cannes Lion and ‘Best Commercial Short Film’ at the British Short Film Awards.
Want to get in touch with Ciaran? Or help fill the room at his next birthday? (He’s a bit worried about the numbers)

RUBY
DOP, CAMERA ASSISTANT & Cat person
Ruby is this team’s diversity card who also happens to be a passionate and capable cinematographer. They love anything whimsical and will take on any project with enthusiasm no matter how weird it is.
Ruby has a particular interest in music videos as well as extensive historical knowledge of the art form and can name any song within a second of it being played.
Hire Ruby either as a jester or DOP today!

ALEXANDRA
DOP & Air Guitarist
Alexandra is a director of photography based in New York, otherwise known as “The Big Apple”. It’s not the only thing that’s big about Alexandra though, she’s got some American sized talent.
Alexandra is a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television Production and a Concentration in Cinematography, she certainly knows her stuff. Not only that, but she’s also got half a physics minor…which is important, right?
In 2024, Alexandra won the ARRI Volker Bahnnemann Award for achievement in cinematography. Which is pretty damn cool. She doesn’t like to talk about it though so don’t tell her I put it in her bio.
If you’re still looking for a reason to trust Alexandra’s work ethic and dedication, just take a look at her 300+ day streak on the New York Times crossword. As their customer support once said, that is “very impressive”.
We are very lucky to have Alexandra and her ARRI ALEXA Mini LF on our team when she visits London, so why not join us in our celebration of her appearance, and hire her for your next production?
